Full Text: The Gate to Survival Act
Section I: Title and Enactment
This legislation shall be formally cited as the 'Gate to Survival Act.' This act is hereby established to overhaul the response frameworks for domestic violence within the state, ensuring immediate protection and systemic accountability. Section II: Purpose and Intent The intent of this act is to eliminate the bureaucratic barriers that impede survivor safety. By mandating a unified approach, the state aims to provide a seamless transition from crisis to long-term stability. Section III: Definitions 'Unified Advocacy' refers to the collaborative inter-agency framework. 'Certified Specialist' denotes a responder with state-recognized domestic violence crisis training.
Sections IV–VI: Operational Reform
Section IV: Single-Point Intake Establishment of a universal entry system to prevent victims from repeating traumatic histories to multiple agencies. Section V: Inter-Agency Data Sharing Legal authorization for secure, real-time information exchange between law enforcement, healthcare, and social services.
